After various travels and living in 7 different states, the goal for Nouveau Medspa & Salon was to bring something special to the Pocatello area. During travels, spa visits were a favorite activity of Dr. Price and his wife, Mecinna, and upon moving home to the Chubbuck area, the Prices failed to find a spa that provided the services they’d come to enjoy together. Hence, Nouveau Medspa was opened in 2010 and has enjoyed several expansions and growth.
In addition to his role as medical director of the spa, Dr. Price works in the wound care clinic at Portneuf Medical Center and teaches for ISU’s residency program. Dr. Price grew up in Iona, ldaho, attended Idaho State University, then medical school at A.T. Still University. He completed a residency in Family Practice in South Bend, Indiana, then a Sports Medicine Residency in Quincy, lllinois where he worked with the Mizzou Tigers and provided medical coverage for the Chicago Marathon, which he still does on occasion. Jared is a hardcore sports enthusiast and loves to bow hunt. He is a top-ranking Spartan contender where he enjoys competing and is a world ranked athlete. Mecinna Price wears many hats with their several businesses. She is an esthetician, who specializes in laser services, injections and permanent cosmetics. Her passions include apothecary and natural skin care. She revels in creating her own soaps, creams, scrubs and her TOI fragrance line, found in Nouveau’s boutique. Mecinna also owns MP Dance Company, a non- profit 501 c (3) company and has taught ballet and various other dance forms for the past 30 years, Jared and Mecinna’s three daughters are all serious dancers and the four women enjoy teaching and running the studio together. Together, Mecinna and Jared own the Valentine Ballroom event venue, 6 Miracle Ear Hearing Clinics, and Price Properties which encompasses various rental properties. In 2006, the couple formed Price Products, a company that invents and manufactures
innovative children’s feeding items, most notably the Dripstik, which has been featured on Rachel Ray, The Today Show, The Big ldea with Donny Deutsch and Good Morning America.
Together, with their five children, whose interests have expanded into the various family companies, they manage these businesses and strive to give back to the community from which they came. Their two oldest daughters, Presli and Riegan are also estheticians and have perfected permanent makeup artistry for several years under their mother’s tutelage and Saylor, their third daughter, is a nail artist. Several of the Price children have married and the family is now in serious growth mode with in-laws and grandchildren.
The constant vision for Nouveau is to remain at the top of the industry in providing quality skin care with the latest technology available as well as the best patient services and care around the Southeast Idaho area. In addition to facials, massages, nails, lash and brow extensions, hair services and waxing, we also provide a full medical menu including laser hair removal, Botox, fillers, and other injections, laser skin services, including pigment and tattoo removal, permanent cosmetics, an apothecary bar, makeup counter and retail store.
