After living in seven different states and traveling extensively, Dr. Jared and Mecinna Price envisioned bringing something truly special back to their hometown community. Their love for visiting spas during their travels inspired the idea for Nouveau Medspa & Salon, which opened its doors in 2010. What began as a dream to recreate the services they cherished has since grown into one of Southeast Idaho’s premier medspas, now celebrating multiple expansions and a reputation for excellence.
Along with serving as the medical director of Nouveau, Dr. Jared Price practices in the wound care clinic at Portneuf Medical Center and teaches within Idaho State University’s residency program. A native of Iona, Idaho, he completed undergraduate studies at ISU before earning his medical degree from A.T. Still University. His postgraduate training includes a Family Practice Residency in South Bend, Indiana, and a Sports Medicine Residency in Quincy, Illinois, where he worked with the Mizzou Tigers and provided medical coverage for the Chicago Marathon—a role he continues to enjoy on occasion.
An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Price is passionate about bow hunting and endurance athletics. He is a world-ranked Spartan competitor and a Hyrox World Champion racer, where he pushes his physical limits through elite-level running and competition.
Mecinna wears many hats in the family’s businesses. A licensed esthetician, she specializes in laser treatments, injections, and permanent cosmetics. Her passion for natural skincare led her to develop an in-house apothecary line featuring handmade soaps, creams, scrubs, and the TOI fragrance line, all available in Nouveau’s boutique.
The Price family’s entrepreneurial spirit extends far beyond Nouveau. Together, Jared and Mecinna own the Valentine Ballroom, a premier event venue, as well as six Miracle Ear Hearing Clinics and Price Properties, which manages rental properties and a growing portfolio of Airbnbs. In 2006, they launched Price Products, inventing innovative children’s feeding items such as the Dripstik, which has been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Rachel Ray, and The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.
Their children are also deeply involved in the family businesses. Their two oldest daughters, Presli and Riegan, are licensed estheticians who have mastered permanent makeup artistry under their mother’s guidance, while Saylor, their third daughter, is a talented nail artist. Their daughter-in-law, Lauren, also brings her creativity and skill as a nail artist at Nouveau. The Price family continues to grow, now with 10 grandchildren (and counting!), each adding to the joy and legacy of this family-centered enterprise.
From the very beginning, the mission of Nouveau Medspa & Salon has been clear: to remain at the forefront of the industry by offering advanced treatments, exceptional service, and an unwavering commitment to patient care. The spa’s extensive menu includes facials, massage, hair services, lash and brow extensions, waxing, nails, and a full medical menu featuring Botox, fillers, advanced lasers, tattoo and pigment removal, permanent cosmetics, and more.
Beyond services, Nouveau prides itself on having a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to ongoing education and staying ahead of industry trends. Clients are invited not only to enjoy treatments but also to benefit from the expertise and passion of the entire Nouveau team.
With a dedication to innovation, family, and community, the Price family continues to shape Southeast Idaho’s beauty and wellness landscape—while always giving back to the community that shaped them.
